This trip will take you through one of the most renowned rivers in the world, celebrated for its scenic landscapes, rapids, waterfalls, and crystal-clear beauty. This section of the river is ideal for beginner rafters, offering a mix of low to medium difficulty rapids. After an early morning pickup from your hotel in San José, we'll head towards the first town, Cartago. After crossing the heart of this province, we will journey through the picturesque villages of Paraíso, Cervantes, Juan Viñas, and Turrialba, known as the rafting capital of Costa Rica. This journey will take approximately 2.5 hours, including a typical breakfast before embarking on the class III and IV rapids adventure.
Our team will be waiting at the Parque de Aventura Ganadería Tres Equis, where you will receive a safety briefing on the riverbank before embarking on the 18-mile journey down the Pacuare River, navigating through popular rapids like Huacas, Pele el Ojo, and Cimarrones.
